Bridal Shower Favors Part 4: Mickey and Minnie

I think it's about time that I share the last bridal shower favor huh?  I left it for last because it's my favorite but I didn't plan on leaving it out this long.  :-)
Of course Pinterest is a wealth of ideas.  It is awesome how many crafty and inspirational things you can find out there in the virtual world.  I had found these cute bags, and these cute bags, and this Mickey and Minnie silhouette and made this:
What do you think?  We put M&M's in there.  Get it? M-ickey & M-innie?  M&M?
The little bags and ribbon were bought at AC Moore.  I know I have seen them in Joann's and Michael's too.
The Mickey/Minnie silhouettes and Minnie bows are cut with my Cricut.
You can see in the pic above that the black cardstock was textured.
If you can see in the pic below, I also ran the bows in the Swiss dots impression folder with the Cuttlebug.

I used the silhouette clip art and made the labels in the bag and cut them out.

I wished I had taken pictures of all the table decorations some people made for her.
They were stunning.
I also made the cake.  See below:
The pic above was taken without flash and the one below was taken with flash.
What do you think?  Not bad huh?

This is Lacey Fairy!  Isn't she just B-E-A-U-tiful!  She is named after my friend, Lacey, who is co-owner of Wags 'n Whiskers.  I always thought this stamp was cute but after I inked her up, I liked it even more.
She is stamped onto watercolor paper and colored with Twinkling H2O's.
I also really, really like the paper!  It is new from Stampin' Up called Eastern Elegance.  I am loving the colors.  I also really, really like the new In-Colors for SU.
I am ordering a few packs little by little so I can hoard them.  :-)
Other card details:

Cheeky Monkey

Hey there!  Glad to "see" you.  Thank you for stopping by to visit!  Please consider following my blog.  There are a number of ways you can follow on the left side.  I use Feedly.  I like the layout and user friendliness of it.  The only problem is that I don't know if a blogger knows I am following them through Feedly or if you are following me.
I have Googled the question but I haven't found anything yet.  Do you know?
Anyway, onto my card.
I was trying something new.  I am not entirely sure if I truly like it.  I think it has interesting elements individually but I am not fully convinced yet.  :-)
In the picture above, I kept it dark so you can see the shadowing I did on the tree.  The tree is from an embossing folder called Leafy Tree from Darice.  I used chalk to bring out the details of the embossing.  Then I embossed Cheeky Sean from High Hopes (Dustin Pike) onto it and watercolored with Twinkling H2Os.
In the pic below, I took it with flash so you can see the embossing and the glaze I used on the teeth.  I tried to match the stamp with the branch of the tree.  I did ok on that part.
 Other card details:
Base: PTI Pinefeather
Other paper: SU Chocolate Chip
Feliz Cumpleanos Stamp: SU Felicidades Siempre

The bird I made from Mod Podge Melts.  It's pretty easy.  I painted it with acrylic paints.  While it was just melted, I added a generic brad to it.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
High Hopes: Anything Goes
Word Art Wednesday: Anything Goes with a Sentiment
Through the Craftroom Door: Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes
The Crafter's Cafe: Anything Goes

You're a Classic!

Are you a car person?  I am not a big car person.  Meaning - I can identify cars and I do appreciate some of them that are fabulous looking but I do not look at cars and say "That's a 1968 Chevy..." and continue to add a bunch of details about the car's features.  My dream car is a yellow Chevy Camaro with racing stripes - in other words, the exact car that played Bumblebee in the new Transformer's Movies with the Transformers emblem and everything!
I do however enjoy enjoy seeing classic cars.  I sometimes see them on the road restored to their original glory.  I am awed at the people who restore classics because of the time and attention to detail they have for those cars.
So in that mindset, I needed to make a card for my father-in-law for his birthday.  There's an old retired set from Stampin' Up called Classic Pickups that was perfect and reminded me of those classic restorations.
So what do you think?  It's a simple Dude card.  Not frilly at all.  Basic.  Most of all, it show cases that classic beast!
 Other card details:
Base - PTI Orange Zest
Other paper: SU Real Red
DP: Metal Paper (It's from a DCWV stack but I can't remember which one);
Orange block paper (DCWV Flower Shower)
Star Brads: Joann's
I liked how the card turned out so I made a few more cards to keep on hand for any other birthdays.
I usually heat emboss my images but the detail in the the stamp was so much that when I embossed it, I didn't like it when I colored it because the detail of the heat embossing was a lot.  You can see it in the next card.  I "aged" it a little using the Tea Dye ink from Tim Holtz.
 Other card details:
Base: PTI White
Star Brads: Joann's

The next card is the same as the first card, except the car is colored in Red.

So classy!
I am entering these in the following challenges:
The Pink Elephant Challenge: Masculine
Ladybug Crafts Ink: Birthday
Pile it on: Anything Goes
Party Time Tuesdays: Anything Goes
Tuesday Throwdown: Birthday Party

Gracias for hanging out with me!
