Thankful Banner

I'm not very good at decorating.  I can craft the living daylights out of a piece of paper - but as far as decorating my house - I am very limited in imagination and style.  I also do not like clutter.  I have a small house and I need it as "spacey" as I can or else I will feel claustrophobic.
I have a fireplace which is very plain.  I would love to redo it one day.  I do love banners though.  I made this door sign and this banner in July that I found on Pinterest.  I wanted a fall one for this month.  I saw this banner on Pinterest, which is printable.  I also like this banner.
Instead of printing one and having to cut it out, I thought I could design one with Sure Cuts Alot and cut it out with my Cricut.  I love the Sure Cuts Alot software.  Its a shame that Cricut went into all those legal issues with them.  I, and many others, bought the Cricut specifically because of that software.
At any rate, here it is!
The DP is some paper I got a long time ago.  The triangle shape and letters were cut and I mounted them on PTI Lemon Tart and Orange Zest.  I hung it with Mandarin Twine from The Twinery.
Here is a close up.  They are shiny because I also laminated them so that it would last for a while.  I am going to put it away with all my fall decorations.  Next year I would like to embellish it a little more in between the letters.

With the negative letters, I made another banner along another wall of mine.  I clipped them up with some clothes pins that I covered with fall paper and modge podged it for durability.  On the leaves, we wrote what we are thankful for on the back.  This is just the beginning of the amount of leaves.  I have clipped a few more since I took these pictures.

Yes - Thanksgiving was yesterday - but I will forever be grateful for all of God's blessing on my family and I!

Fleur Lunchbox

I don't know if you all have tried My Time Made Easy Templates (MTME) by Lauren Meader.  She has the best SVGs.  They make wonderful quick gifts.  You can embellish them a lot or a little and you still get a cute project.
Now pair a MTME project with a cute stamp from The Greeting Farm and you've got awesomeness!
Ok - first of all - sorry about the brightness and shinyness of the pix.  I had finished the project the same day I took the pic and was in a rush to leave my house.  Then I realized I had forgotten to take a picture of the project.  This was a birthday gift for the daughter of a friend.  So I took a picture of it in my car.  HA! :-)  Aaaannnnddd - it just so happened that I had some laminated paper in my car that I had to cut out - so hence the shiny background paper.
Anyway, this is TGF Fleur Anya.  She is stamped on watercolor paper and colored with Twinkling H2Os.  I used half pearls for the flowers in her hair.
The lunchbox template is My Time Made Easy Boxed Lunch SVG.  It was very easy to put together.  Lauren Meader made sure to put in all the details for everything including the handle.  It was cut with SU Pink Piroutte.  The DP is DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies Stack.
I covered a notepad with DP and put a piece in a match to make it all match.  I also added a strip of paper to the inside lid to put a gift card from Target.  As you can see - I took the color inspiration from the actual gift card.
Challenge entered: The Greeting Farm - FFF: Anything but a Card.

Thank You Leaves.

Thank you's are so important.  It's sometimes hard to say thank you.  For me, it's sometimes hard to recieve a thank you when I do something.  I like to give thank you cards - but when I do something and someone says thank you - I'm like "Aw it was nothing."  I need to learn how to accept a thank you like Chick-fil-a and just say "my pleasure". :-)

I embossed the flower stamp from SU Fifth Avenue Floral with clear embossing powder.  The "thank you" stamp is from Studio G which I punched out using SU Modern Label Punch and added foam tape for some dimension.
Base - PTI Kraft; Matte - SU Pretty in Pink; Red - SU Cherry Cobbler; Ribbon - SU Satin Pretty in Pink; Pearls - Queen & Co Orchid.
The pink leaves are floral leaves I got at my neighbor's yard sale.
The next card is basically the same layout.  I just used the same colors opposite.  The ribbon is from my stash and the pearls are still from Queen & Co.

The flowers are not embossed on this card.  They are stamped in Versamark.

I am entering these cards in the challenge - Sentimental Sundays: Dimensions plus a sentiment.

Manly Golf Cart

I have a lot of dudes in my life.  4 dudes in my house currently - 1 hubby, 2 young ones, 1 dog.  :-)  Needless to say - that between friends and family I make quite a few "macho" cards.  The following card that I had made for Father's Day.  Late (or early - depending on if you are a pessimist or an optimist) idea for Father's Day.
I am entering it into CAS-usal Fridays Challenge: CFC77 Create a masculine project.
I - at least - hope it qualifies for a CAS card.  The funny thing is - I always thought my cards were CAS because I don't really put a lot of embellisments on them or anything - but looking at some of the CAS cards - I am not as CAS as I thought.  I sometimes want to fill up the "empty" spaces, but sometimes its okay to just leave it blank.

For some reason, the above pic and the below pic came out with two sort of different colorings but they are the same card.  Not sure what was going on.  I even tried to edit it but it didn't make it any better.
The stamp is High Hopes Golf Cart; Base - SU Chocolate Chip; DP - SU Manchester (retired a loooong time ago); Buttons - my stash.
I don't normally do anything on the inside of the card because I usually have a lot to say.  :-)  I just like the Golf Bag with Clubs stamp (also from High Hopes).

Precious Angel

Such a long time between blog posts...
Well - I actually lost my mojo for a while.  My craft area looked so nice and clean for a long time...but sad at the same time.  Nothing was being used.  So, so sad.  :-)  I am actually being crafty with a bunch of preschoolers right now.  Are teeny kid crafts stunting my creativity??? Seriously, though - I am having fun with the little ones.  I enjoy the messy crafts and just getting to hear all the funny stories from the wee-ones.  They are precious!
So with my lack of mojo, also came my lack of posting.  I actually have so many cards to post in my "archives".  I just haven't done it.
Do any of you feel that way sometimes?

Well - my mojo came back and I have busy crafting again.  Yay me!  So that is giving me motivation to post, so here it goes!
The following two cards are Thank you cards to some friends.
This card uses TGF Angel Anya.  It is embossed on watercolor paper, cut with the Cricut using a PDC Shaplie SVG and colored with Twinkling H2Os.  Base - SU Pumpkin Pie; DP - stash; ribbon - Michaels; Brads - SU.  In the next pic you can see the Stickles.
I am entering this card in Cute Card Thursday Challenge 241 - Fairies and Angels and the ABC Challenge: A for Appreciation.

The next card is using the same image and cut with the same PDC Shaplie.
Base - SU Very Vanilla; the purple matte - my stash; DP - my stash; flower - Prima; lace - Joann's.
Gracias for hanging out with me!

Birthday Mermaid Anya

I won the Anyone for Anya challenge!  Yay!  Its my first challenge win ever....so I was pretty excited.  My husband and kids did not understand the excitement.  They looked at me wierd.  You crafters know what I'm talking about, right?!?!
I really enjoy TGF stamps.  There are so many of their stamps that cover so many occassions.  So I am entering another challenge using a TGF stamp - FFF: Happy Birthday!  There are quite a few pix, so please scroll...
I made this for my niece for her birthday.  She likes the TGF stamps too.  This is Mermaid Anya embossed and colored with Twinkling H2Os.  The "water" is done with  "washi"-type tape from Recollections.  Base: PTI Raspberry Fizz.  White Matte: SU Whisper White.  Birthday Sentiment: Studio G Stamp.
In the next pic, you can see Mermaid Anya a little closer.  I added pearls from Queen & Co. and stickles to her tail.
The next two cards are the same layout - they are just extras I made.
 Base: SU Bravo Burgandy

Base: PTI Raspberry Fizz.  All ribbon from my stash.

Speed Racer

Wags and Whiskers has some cute stamps that I use often.  They are whimsical and you can use them for so many occasions.  Their current challege is Birthdays.
This card uses the stamp Speed Racer embossed on watercolor paper and colored with Twinkling H20s.  I cut him out and adhered him to a PTI Orange Zest starburst cut with the Cricut.  The base is also Orange Zest.  DP:  DCWV All About Boys.  Ribbon: stash.  Sentiment: PTI Inside and Out Birthdays.
This also works for the Hooked on Craft Challenge: Let's celebrate! Create a card celebrating a wedding, birthday, baby, etc.
Thanks for looking!

Purple Fleur Anya

I am really enjoy challenge blogs. It is so inspirational when you have a creative block to check out a challenge and find that you are not blocked after all. Today's card is for Anyone for Anya: Flower Power - Use a qualifying image and add a flower.
This card uses the image Fleur Anya (I bought it from Stamp and Create but I don't see it on the website, but Lacey is so awesome with customer service that you can email her and she might be able to order it for you).  It is embossed on watercolor paper and colored with Twinkling H2Os.  The shape was cut with my Cricut using a PDC Shaplie.  Base:  SU Taken with Teal.  DP: DCWV Taj Mahal Stack.  Ribbon:  Dollar Tree (Have you checked out your local Dollar Tree?  Sometimes you get some really cool ribbon.  You have to get it quick or it is gone fast - but they always have white ribbon in their wedding section.)  Flowers: Prima.  Half Pearls: Stamp and Create

Jedi Mind Trick

I make cards.  I love to make cards.  It is so relaxing to craft.  My problem is that I am never on time to send those things out.  Especially to my brother.  We have a long standing joke about it.
So sad....   :-)
This is a digi stamp from Stamp and Create's Pray for Luke line.  (If you haven't heard about this story please go to www.prayforluke.com.)  100% of proceeds go to Luke's family.  I bought the whole set - the Little Luke digi and the Dragon Collection by Dustin Pike.
This particular dragon is called Hero2 from the Dragon Collection.  To me he is, of course, a Jedi!  I printed him on watercolor paper, heated the image to set it and colored it with Twinkling H2Os.  Base: PTI Orange Zest.  Circle star DP: DCWV All Boy.  Orange DP:  Making Memories Just Chillin'.  Yellow matte: scraps.  Buttons: PTI New Leaf.  Twine: The Twinery Mandarin.
The sentiment I typed up on Word and printed.  You can't tell but the lightsaber has glossy effects on it to make it stand out.  I also sewed over the orange DP which qualifies this card for Stamp and Create's August Challenge: Stitch it up.  I am also entering the challenge on Craft Your Passion: Anything Goes.
The following card is almost the same layout and paper.  Each time I make a card, I have been making some extra ones for Operation Write Home.  I do not get to craft as much as I want but I have always wanted to make some cards for our brave men and women serving our country.

Gracias for hanging out with me!

U for Under the Weather

ABC Challenges has their new challenge - U for Under the Weather.  This card works for that challenge.

Cheeky Glamour

The Greeting Farm's Cheeky line is so sassy!  I like that word: Sassy!  :-)  This card is one I am entering into two challenges:  ABC Challenges - T for Two (use two of something in your creation) and Incy Wincy Designs - Let's Party.  There is actually two cards with the same layout and stamp, just different colors.
This Birthday (Party!!) card uses TGF Cheeky Glamour.  She is embossed and colored with Twinkling H2Os.  Base: SU Pink Piroutte.  The blue is from my scraps.  The red is SU Cherry Cobbler.  The thick, pink ribbon is the stiff kind flower shops use.
The Two elements I used are the roses that are SU Adornment Vintage Flowers.
This next card has a PTI Kraft base lined with SU Bravo Burgandy.  The blue is from my scraps.  The netting is from Stamp and Create and the roses are from SU.
