1,2,3,4 Recipe Challenge

Wags and Whiskers has a new challenge!  Its a 1,2,3,4 Recipe (1 image, 2 ribbons, 3 DP, 4 Embellies).
1 Image: W&W Happy Day embossed and colored with Twinkling H2Os.
2 Ribbons:  the black and pink ribbons come from my stash of scraps
3 DP:  All the DP comes from My Mind's Eye Totally Girl
4 Embellies:  This one almost sent me over the edge.  I am a minimalist when it comes to card design.  Seriously.  I love everyone else's cards when they have lots of embellishments but I feel like I can pull it off.  My four embellishments are: (1) a ribbon charm hanging from the pink ribbon, (2) a half pearl from Queen & Co, (3&4) two dragonfly brads - I can't remember where I got them from.
This was a good challenge.  Gracias for hanging with me!!

Ok - Yes Valentine's Again...

I told you I had more Valentiney stuff to post.  I craft early and post late - very late.  Aahh - woe is me..
This is a mailbox I made for my boys' teachers two years ago actually.  It was super easy to do.  The template was cut with my Cricut using a MTME template called Happy Mail.  Once you get all the pieces cut, it is pretty easy to assemble.
The red base is SU Real Red.  The pink is SU Pink Piroutte.  The DP is retired SU Sending Love.
I filled it with Lindt Chocolates.  So so yummy.
The next project was super simple.  I made these M&M candy holders for the lovely ladies I work with.  The image is from a retired SU set called Happy Heart Day.  I stamped it using Rose Bud Memento Ink onto PTI White paper.  So easy and cute.

I know Valentine's Day is Over but...

Ok so yes - Valentine's Day is over.  It actually flew by in my house because we were planning and getting ready for a 50 miles canoe trip down the Suwanee River with our Boy Scout Trip.  Yes, I said 50.  It was tiring, awesome, and amazing.  It would've been much better if we didn't have freezing temperatures at night and in the mornings.
So, I crafted Valentiney things and could not blog them because I had no time whatsoever.  So I am posting them now...and in the day and age of Pinterest - you can pin them to your Valentine board for future reference if you like them. :-)
So first a project I did with my class last year and made again this year.
This is a cute Valentine frame made from matte board (the stuff that you use to matte pictures in picture frames).  They sell the boards in the framing department at Michaels/Joann's/AC Morre.  They were die cut in a heart shape.  I had the kids add their fingerprints with red acrylic paint.  On this frame the child has bunny ears which match with the sentiment below.
On the next one, the child is with a stuffed "bug".
This one matches with the other sentiment below.
The yarn is that really soft, fuzzy yarn you can get from your local craft store.
I do have more to post, but I have to go for now!  Gracias for hanging out with me!

Sweet Sixteen

Here is a card and box that I made a very, very long time ago.  It was for a Sweet Sixteen.  The box were just simple white boxes bought from either Michael's or Joann's - I can't remember.  The mom of the sixteen year old wanted to do something with them (because they were just plain white) but she couldn't figure out what to do.
I stamped it with the big stamp from SU Baroque Motif (retired) with Lovely Lilac.
The them was purple and gold.  So I added a gold scalloped squ and are I cut with my Cricut and added the info that was created on the computer.  I added some gold ribbon from Joann's.
For the card - I embossed the same stamp from SU Baroque Motif with gold.  The flowers are primas; the bradas are from my stash.  I wanted to keep with the theme with the card.

Latte Love

I thought I would go ahead and share another card I made with SU Pun Fun that went with the card set that I had made with the cards in my previous post
Again, this is a very cute SU set.  It is really good for making quick card sets as a gift.  Card base - SU Chocolate Chip;  DP - retired SU Candy Lane; ribbon - my stash.  The scalloped square I cut with my cricut on SU Riding Hood Red.

Animal Attraction

This week on Raise the Bar the Challenge is Animal Attraction.  I have three animal cards I made a long time ago but never posted.  The pictures are not that great because I took them real quick before I left to work.  They were part of a gift set for my room mom at the time.
This first card is uses the sheep from the retired SU stamp set Pun Fun.  Its a cute stamp set with small animals and "punny" sentiments. You can't tell from this pic but I added Cotton Ball White Fun Flock to make it fuzzy.  Card base - SU Real Red; DP - my stash; Ribbon - my stash (I believe it might be from the Dollar Tree).
This whale also comes from Pun Fun.  Card Base - SU Whisper White; DP and gray circle - my stash.  Its also an old CPS sketch #144.  (They no longer hold challenges, but they still have their sketches available on their blog.)  Old sketches are always really good to reference when you are having a creative block.
This snake card I had made for my friend a long time ago because she had posted on her blog some snake incidences that she had.  It was really funny.  I have seen this snake used in this manner on Splitcoast Stampers on many cards.  The stamp is from retired SU set Zoofari.  Card base - SU Certainly Celery.  Everything else is basically from my stash bought from random places.  The flowers are Primas.
