Minions Glasses SVG

Have you seen my Minions favors?
It's been pretty awesome because some of you out there in the digital world strolling through Pinterest have pinned my post about it a few times.  Thank you!  I'm thankful that you like them.
Now that I am getting used to posting files on blogspot, I figured out how to add the SVG to my blog.
I only have the svg for the glasses (single and double eyes), the white part and the pupil.  The black strip was just a skinny piece of black cardstock about 1/2 thick and measured to go around the box.  That also goes for the yellow cardstock.  I measured the cardstock and cut to fit.
Anyway, you can download the glasses svg here.
I hope it works and I hope you enjoy!
Just remember: This is a free file for your personal use - NOT for sale.  If you share this with others please direct them or link back to my blog.  I appreciate it greatly!
Gracias for hanging out with me!

Bridal Shower Favors Part 4: Mickey and Minnie

I think it's about time that I share the last bridal shower favor huh?  I left it for last because it's my favorite but I didn't plan on leaving it out this long.  :-)
Of course Pinterest is a wealth of ideas.  It is awesome how many crafty and inspirational things you can find out there in the virtual world.  I had found these cute bags, and these cute bags, and this Mickey and Minnie silhouette and made this:
What do you think?  We put M&M's in there.  Get it? M-ickey & M-innie?  M&M?
The little bags and ribbon were bought at AC Moore.  I know I have seen them in Joann's and Michael's too.
The Mickey/Minnie silhouettes and Minnie bows are cut with my Cricut.
You can see in the pic above that the black cardstock was textured.
If you can see in the pic below, I also ran the bows in the Swiss dots impression folder with the Cuttlebug.

I used the silhouette clip art and made the labels in the bag and cut them out.

I wished I had taken pictures of all the table decorations some people made for her.
They were stunning.
I also made the cake.  See below:
The pic above was taken without flash and the one below was taken with flash.
What do you think?  Not bad huh?

Bridal Shower Favors Part 3 - Minions from Despicable Me

Despicable Me 2 came out today!!!! It was a cute, cute, cute movie.  I laughed quite a bit.  The Minions were absolutely hysterical.  Normally, I do not go to the movies right when it comes out because I don't like the crowds.  It was my niece's birthday, though, and that is what she wanted to do on her birthday.  She was so excited and has been talking about the movie for a while.
So in honor of Despicable Me 2 - here is the next installment of bridal shower favors.  If you want to see Part 1 (Lilo and Stitch favors), click here.  If you want to see Part 2 (Winnie the Pooh favors), click here.

When we were in the Dollar Tree, I showed my friend, Amy, these boxes (which are located in the wedding section of the store):
We were supposed to use them for the Lilo and Stitch favors until we saw the colorful take out boxes.  So Amy said, "It would be so cool if we could turn these boxes into Minions."
I said, "I could do that!"  So I did!
Here are my little Minions in all their glory!  I created the two different ones with double eyes and the single eye.  I created them on Sure Cuts Alot and cut them out with my Cricut (I now have a Silhouette).  I bought yellow paper from Joanns's.  The goggles are cut from silver cardstock from Papertrey Ink.
***Edited to add: I have added a cut file for the glasses here.***
***I have also created a generic tag here.***

You can kind of see the the silver shining on the side views.

We put Hershey's kisses in a silver bag tied with blue curling ribbon.
I designed the tag using a clipart and punched them out with a circle punch.
The inside of the box was filled with silver basket stuffing, also from the Dollar Tree.

It was fun creating these little guys.  It was more fun seeing the reactions of people when I showed it to them.  I was super pleased!
Gracias for hanging with me!

Bridal Shower Favor Part 2 - Winnie the Pooh

If you have looked at my blog in the last few days, you have seen where I put the Part 1 of the Bridal Shower favors.  If not, can see my post here showing the Lilo and Stitch Favors.
Again, we did four themes - Lilo and Stitch, Winnie the Pooh, the Minions from Despicable me, and Mickey and Minnie.
We looked on Pinterest and found these little Winnie the Pooh baby shower pots (unfortunately when you click on the link it just takes you to a picture.  When I looked on the website that it has watermarked on the picture, I could not find it.).  We also found these jars filled with honeycombs (again, when I click on the link in Pinterest, it just led me to the picture and not where it came from.
So between those two, we came up with this:
These are the tiny terra cotta pots we got at AC Moore.  You can get them in any craft store.  I used acrylic paint to make the "honey" drips along the top and a paint marker for the lettering.

Inside the pot, we filled a little baggie with Honeycomb cereal and Teddy Grahams.  The little, yellow, checkered ribbon comes from AC Moore as well.
The little bees are buttons from Michaels.  I just cut off the part of the button were you would normally thread and hot glued it to the pot.

I also made the label myself and punched it out with a circle punch.

 I hope you liked them!
Gracias for chillin' with me!

Bridal Shower Favor Part 1 - Lilo and Stitch

A young lady I know is getting married.  She is a great girl and a loved member of our church.  She works hard and has such an intense love for God.  Her fiance is the same.  They are a great couple!  She had a number of bridal showers (including a lingerie shower).  One of the showers she had was one for the church members.  I was asked to help with the favors.  It was, of course, my pleasure.
The theme was Disney.  As part of the group planning her bridal shower, we decided to make it based on four of her favorite Disney themes: Lilo and Stitch (her future husband's favorite), Mickey and Minnie, Winnie the Pooh and the Minions from Despicable Me (the couple dressed up as Minions for Halloween).  We browsed Pinterest for some ideas.  Then my friend, Amy, and I took a trip to AC Moore and the Dollar Tree for further ideas.
Here is the Lilo and Stitch favor we came up with:
These are little takeout boxes we found at the Dollar Tree.  I'm sorry I don't have a picture of the box by itself.
The flower is from a lei.  It was taken apart and then attached with a colorful brad.

I made the label using a clip art I found doing a search on Google.  Cut them out and tied them with some curling ribbon/balloon string.
It was super easy.  We filled it with Skittles!
I have 3 more party favors to show you soon!  Come back again and see me!
Gracias for hanging out!
***Edited to add: You can find the generic tags here.
